Tara has 22 years’ experience marketing within Financial Services across a broad range of businesses on both a B2B and B2C basis. Prior to setting up Oyster, she co-founded a marketing consultancy and training business, leading the consultancy focus. Before moving to consultancy she worked in-house as Head of Brand and Channel Marketing for Jupiter Asset Management and was an Account Director at various global advertising agencies specialising in financial services.

  • Wide financial services experience from insurance providers to global banking – with a focus on Investment management
  • Deep knowledge of the full marketing mix, applying an integrated approach appropriate to different business needs
  • Speciality in brand development and management including product proposition development
  • Personable and pragmatic, with ability to tailor approach to suit all levels of seniority to ensure internal buy-in and delivery of the marketing vision

Ella is a co-founder of Oyster, supporting the business in an advisory capacity. She has worked in financial services marketing for over 16 years and held senior roles in leading asset and wealth management organisations currently as Head of Marketing and Communications, UK for Julius Baer. Before that, she worked in senior brand, marketing and communication roles at Jupiter Asset Management and Alliance Trust. She has an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.

  • Extensive, strategic experience helping firms achieve their business goals utilising the full marketing and communications mix.
  • A strong ability to listen and translate the requirements of a firm into a robust marketing and communications strategy.
  • Worked on a number of corporate change programmes covering acquisitions, restructures, business expansion and issue management.
  • Solid understanding of corporate governance structures with experience sitting on Senior Management teams, Executive Committees, and presenting at Board level.
